Most “walking trails” in Oklahoma are gravel, open fields, & boring, but not the amazing trails at ray Harral Park! We’ve captured many Engagement Sessions at the Park & still haven’t seen all the trails. You can easily get lost in a look or around a bend as you walk hand in hand together. Grab your fiance & do a dip or dance around in the gorgeous woods, but be sure to respectful of the people who are hiking.
We love how each season creates different looks for our couples! Fall brings gorgeous leaves, springtime sees the buds blooming & even in the heat of summer, the tree cover provides shade & green colors that delight us!

Tips & Advice:
Here’s a few of our top tips you should know before heading out to the park:
1 – Consider the weather & time of day. The park is very popular so consider scheduling your engagement session when it’s not as busy. Right at sunset may be gorgeous, but every other couple & family will be thinking the same thing. During the summer, it gets quite hot, so consider doing more of a early morning session vs a sunset session.
2 – Be respectful of the park & other people. The park is just that…a nature park. Many people in Broken Arrow visit the park to jog, hike, or visit the nature center. Be aware of this. We always give the right of way to people walking a trail.
3 – Be considerate of nature. We have seen so many family photographers, baby photographers, senior photographers bring things to the park like metallic confetti, fake snow, etc that should never be used in photos in a park. We cannot count how many times we’ve stopped a session to pick up someone else’s litter after they just left. There’s only have one earth, we all need to take care of it.
4 – Consider hours of operation. The park is located behind a public school as well as the nature center has daily hours of operation. We are always respectful of what’s going on or what events may be happening & we plan accordingly.
