Rainy Day Wedding Photos:
Everyone thinks that having rain on your wedding day is the worst thing that can happen! Not true! While having rain may change a few options on your day, capturing rainy day wedding photos can still be amazing! Cole & Emilee wanted to have their special day outside at the gorgeous Springs Event Venue in Sperry, Oklahoma, but the weather chose not to cooperate!
Thankfully, The Springs have the option to have your ceremony inside! This still didn’t stop Cole & Emilee from capturing some amazing moments outside once the rain had stopped! Rainy Day Wedding Photos can give your memories a certain look as well as provide a very dramatic background if you’d like. The biggest thing is being flexible & just enjoying your day & trusting your photographer to be able to capture beautiful memories in any situation.
Emilee – Our ceremony & reception were both held at the Springs Event Venue Tulsa. We chose the location because it’s absolutely beautiful out there! It’s right on the lake & has such a gorgeous backdrop. The inside is a blank canvas & you can style it to fit any kind of wedding.
We had originally planned to have our ceremony outside, but it rained 🙁 so we had the ceremony inside, which actually turned out so romantic & cozy! It was exactly what I wanted without even knowing it!
Cole -It was very warm & inviting. Very elegant. The groomsmen room was the perfect hang out place before the wedding!
Cole & Emilee:
You guys are such a sweet couple! Tell us what was the most emotional & memorable part of your day?
Cole -Reading our personal vows to each other during the “first touch” was so emotional. It was a beautiful moment. I only cried twice, when we read our personal vows & when I saw her walking to me. I am so grateful for these moments.
Emilee -I will always cherish the few moments we spent together reading our personal vows to each other. That was definitely my favorite part of the day & it was so special to hear it from him. Another special part of the day was when we were taking bridal party pictures & they blindfolded Cole & stood him behind me, back to back, & we just held hands during the pictures.
Tell us all about your gorgeous wedding dress!!
Emilee -I loved my dress! It was everything I had hoped for! I was so excited to take a picture down the beautiful stairs showing the amazing train & veil. I couldn’t wait for Cole to see it!
What was your style choices for the day?
Emilee -The overall look & style was definitely a classic black & white look. We made it a little modern with some gold accents. Since we had the ceremony inside, we draped the back wall of the stage & had candles everywhere (I loved all the candles!) It had such a romantic feel to it. The black tablecloths on the tables toned down the wood in the venue, so you didn’t realize you were in a wood building. We had classic Italian food, & it was so good, I couldn’t stop eating!
