Heather – I chose off the lake to bring in the love of being with my dad at the lake. I also love the change in leaves in the fall. I always wanted to have a truly elegant wedding & that’s what we did with flowers & chandeliers everywhere. It was perfect!

Chris & Heather:

So what was your overall look for your day?

Heather – Soft, elegant with a little bit southern. I’m a little southern girl at heart. 😉

Gawd, your flowers were gorgeous!

Heather – I love oriental Calla Lilies. I have admired them since I was a little girl. It was something I shared with my dad on a trip to Hawaii as well. I brought in deep colored ones for me & Chris, then used white & other forms of amazing flowers to build this soft pop.

All the Feels:

What are some of the best moments from your day?

Heather – Watching Chris see me for the first time was such a special moment for us. I also was super emotional but held it together with laughter as always with my amazing brother that has been my best friend over the years. I can never thank him enough for walking me down the aisle & giving me away to the man who has blessed our lives.

Chris – Seeing her during our first look was so special for me. I couldn’t believe how beautiful she was & that I was getting to marry her!

What tips would you give to upcoming brides about planning their day?

Heather – Get an amazing planner, even if just a month or day of. You will want that load off. I am so blessed to have had the friends, family & planning team I had with my amazing vendor crew as well. I couldn’t have pulled off my last minute hair change without that team!!
